Looking for…

Pulsating Interactive Rocks –  looking for 3D coder and 3D designer: Developing on from the Rock Concerts and from Playing the Cave I am working towards a series of projected pulsating rocks that respond directly to live sounds, creating immersive trance-like movements and drawing the viewer into a compulsive watching.

Playing the Cave

Rock Concert

Pulsating Interactive Rocks: I am  looking for 3-D coder who will help develop the visual elements of a new multi-channel amplified reality installation responding to live sound that develops on from Playing the Cave (Uta Kögelsberger) and Orchestra of Rocks (Uta Kögelsberger and Atau Tanaka). The work takes the increase of rainfall due to climate change as a starting point to create a visceral and spatial experience consisting of a multi-channel sculptural sound installation of simulated rock speakers and ambient sound recordings from a Cave during heavy rainfall.

The 3-D coder will have experience of interactive / real-time 3D programming as well as good skills in open GL to use bump/normal maps given by a designer and apply FFT to a set of vertices around the 3d model, edit 3D scans, create data textures to use within the interactive software.

The 3-D designer will need experience in 3D Model Creation, Sculpting and Editing. The role will entail working alongside the artist and a real-time graphics programmer to create and design the movement of eight, watertight, 3D rock models.
